About Baptist SeminarianReading the old writers with the local church

Baptist Seminarian is a personal publication for readers in the local church. It brings the old Reformed and Particular Baptist writers to the table, with their sources open.

The blog works through questions of Scripture and theology. Read the Old Guys sets passages of Scripture beside selected excerpts from the old commentators. The Library keeps confessions, catechisms and other texts close at hand.

The point of view is confessional Baptist, shaped by the Second London Baptist Confession of 1689. Sources are named, quotations stay distinct from the editor’s notes, and disagreements are left visible so readers can check the argument.
